Zulfiqar Bhutto Junior announces political debut with the PPP Shaheed Bhutto group

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior, the son of the murdered politician Mir Murtaza Bhutto, has confirmed his intention to enter politics.

Bhutto JR, in a statement, revealed that he plans to begin his political career with the Shaheed Bhutto group of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP), which was founded by his father, a local news channel reported.

“It is true that I intend to enter politics, and I will start with the PPP group Shaheed Bhutto,” said Bhutto Junior.

He added that his father’s legacy remains strong, and his goal is to lead the group in the future.

Bhutto JR declared that he still has much to learn from his country and his people, emphasizing that he is not yet considered to have all the answers. He is preparing for his political trip.

He also expressed concern about the water crisis in Sindh, describing it as life and death for the people of the province.

He described the lack of water as a form of cultural genocide, emphasizing that both humans and wildlife in the region would not survive without access to water.

In response to a question, Bhutto Junior said that the government of Sindh is “trembling”, since it faces increasing protests, even schoolchildren and women.

He pointed out that the government is changing its narrative in response to these generalized manifestations.
