It was only two weeks before things finally started to look up for May 2026 on the world’s best streaming services.
In fact, after the recent dearth of new movies and TV shows, we’ve suffered something of a deluge in recent days. By my count, there have been 21 (!) new releases, and while it would be fun to include them all in our latest streaming roundup, we’ve stuck to the usual format and compiled a list of the week’s top seven.
So, read on to find out what made it another TV series-packed edition of our “what to watch” list: Tom Power, Senior Entertainment Reporter
The Punisher: One Last Death (Disney+)
Look
“One lot, two lots, one cent and ten cents…”. It’s time for The Punisher to be the star of his own Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project, and that time is now.
The latest MCU character to receive the special Disney+ TV treatment, The Punisher: One Last Death reunites us with the titular antihero after his escape from prison in Daredevil: Born AgainThe end of season 1. Judging by one last deathIn the trailer, and its subtitle, we will see Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle embark on another personal crusade to deal with another individual who also wants him dead.
Have you already seen this special presentation of Marvel Phase 6 and want to know how it impacts the immediate future of the MCU? My The Punisher: One Last Death The end of the article explained should be your next port of call. — T.P.
Devil May Cry season 2 (Netflix)
Look
The devil may cryThe Netflix animated adaptation was a huge hit and now it’s back and bigger than ever with its sequel season.
The devil may cry Season 2 wastes no time and throws us right into the action. Here we see the anticipated reunion of Dante and Vergil, and their conflict makes up much of the story. Dante is already too busy trying to literally prevent Hell on Earth from happening without all the family drama, but hey, it’s exciting for us to watch.
Those hoping for more 2000s nostalgia will also be pleased, as there’s an all-new soundtrack featuring rock legends like Papa Roach and Evanescent’s Amy Lee. It is without a doubt one of the coolest shows airing right now. — Lucy Buglass, Senior Entertainment Writer
Off campus (main video)
Look
At the time the critics said that Off campus it was less like Heated rivalry and more like “brotherhood brother” Bridgerton“I was all for it. Based on the best-selling books by Elle Kennedy, this Amazon TV Original follows an elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives as they struggle with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.
It’s the perfect balance of naughty and wholesome that Prime Video continues to achieve in its young adult dramas, meaning it’s perfect for fans of The summer I became pretty and Maxton Lounge.
What’s more, Off campus It’s already been renewed for season 2, so it’s worth investing in this eight-episode binge. — Jasmine Valentine, entertainment reporter
Dutton Ranch (Paramount+)
Look
Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are back, baby! yellow stone split Dutton Ranch follows the couple’s relocation to Texas, taking over a small ranch that competes directly with 10 Petal, aka the local town ranching empire run by Beulah Jackson, a woman Beth aptly describes as a “grizzly bear in Gucci.” Not only do the couple go head to head, but the more Beth and Rip adjust to Texan life, the more problems they discover.
A cross between landman and the madison in tone, Dutton Ranch does not completely neglect his yellow stone roots: Watch out for some obvious mentions of John Dutton in episode 1 onwards. Before you dive in, read my Dutton Ranch review too. –— joint venture
Ann Lee’s Will (Disney+)
Look
Following its release on Hulu earlier this year, this historical musical drama directed by Amanda Seyfried is now available internationally on Disney+.
In it, Seyfried plays the title character, who was the founding leader of the Shakers religious sect in the 18th century. Lee’s religious movement focused on community living, celibacy, gender equality, and simple, functional furniture. Singing and dancing were a big part of their encounters, meaning this film is the perfect way to depict Lee’s life and the religious beliefs he shared with others.
Based on its 86% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, it seems that viewers have been enchanted by Ann Lee’s story. Maybe you will be too? — pound
On the Roam season 2 (HBO Max)
Look
Have you ever wanted to travel with Jason Momoa? Now you can. After a two-year hiatus, the star is back on the road with his HBO Max documentary series. In the wandering.
Like last time, Momoa is taking a break from filmmaking to meet a new group of artists and creatives, where he takes an in-depth look at their process and asks a lot of questions.
This season we will see Momoa reunite with Julian Schnabel, director of basquiatpunk rock band The Bobby Lees and Metallica legend Kirk Hammett. Episodes are released every Thursday, making it something to look forward to every week. — pound
Rivals season 2 (Hulu/Disney+)
Look
Do you know what we’re missing in this lineup? An old school hit. Fortunately, Rivals Season 2 is available to fill the void. However, picking up shortly after its predecessor, the collective excitement of our Rutshire set has turned somewhat sour.
Cameron is in hiding after being convinced she had killed her boss Tony after she hit him with a TV award in self-defense. Meanwhile, Lizzie and Freddie try desperately to hide their feelings for each other, and Sarah tries to climb the ranks at Tony’s Corinium television station.
Everything is a little less exciting, but the stakes continue to rise. We only have the first three episodes (read my Rivals season 2 review while you’re here) to stream at this stage, so keep your eyes peeled for the rest later this year. — joint venture
