However, there is compelling new content to watch on the world’s best streaming services, so I’m sure you’ll find one or more of the seven entries below, covering countless genres, to your liking. Happy watching! — Tom Power, Senior Entertainment Reporter
Send Help (Hulu/Disney+)
Look
Despite the involvement of fan-favorite filmmaker Sam Raimi, I don’t think many people predicted that this castaway-style survival horror thriller would be one of the highest-rated new movies of 2026 so far. However, with a 93% critical rating and 87% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, that’s exactly what Send help which is now available on Hulu and Disney+, yes it is.
Starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, it follows a meek corporate strategist and her nepo-frat-baby boss who are stranded on a desert island after a plane crash. Please indicate a not very different shot. lord of the flies (coincidentally, their latest adaptation also appears in this week’s recap) that ends the balance of power between them in an incredibly remote part of the world.
One to look out for if you’re a fan of two-handed games, blood and dark humor and biting suspense. — T.P.
Lord of the Flies (Netflix)
Look
As Tom mentioned, a new lord of the flies The remake landed on Netflix this week, marking the first time William Goldman’s iconic story has been adapted for television.
The four-part miniseries has been written by Jack Thorne, the Emmy-winning mastermind behind Adolescence. It also marks the on-screen debut of many of the young actors, who find themselves stranded on an uninhabited island after a plane crash. Attempts to survive soon devolve into brutal anarchy, and while it’s a familiar story, I’m excited to see how this adaptation develops. — Lucy Buglass, Senior Entertainment Writer
Greenland 2: Migration (HBO Max)
Look
Gerard Butler’s disaster movies are back, baby! In the sequel to the 2020 release Green Earthwhich is now available on HBO Max, the action begins after the impact of a comet that decimated most of the planet. Happy weekend to you.
This time, the Garrity family must leave the safety of their Greenland bunker to traverse a broken world in search of a new home. Obviously, this is as easy as doing homework in a foreign language. Butler and Morena Baccarin reprise their roles from the first film, but keep an eye out for the new version of the streetwise kid, because Roger Dale Floyd has been swapped for Roman Griffin Davis. — Jasmine Valentine, entertainment reporter
Citadel season 2 (Prime Video)
Look
Three years after their incredibly mediocre debut season arrived, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci and Richard Madden are back. Citadel season 2.
From the looks of its plot, it’s back and bigger (but not necessarily better) than ever. In the latest Amazon TV Original appearance, we find Mason, Nadia and Bernard hiding out across Europe after last season’s finale. But when a terrifying new threat arises, the three spring back into action. After all, it wouldn’t be very interesting if we followed them on a gap year, would it? All six episodes of season 2 are now available to stream on Prime Video. — pound
Legends (Netflix)
Look
Legends is based on the real-life story of UK customs officials in the 1990s who went undercover to infiltrate criminal organisations. Over the course of six episodes, we will follow this group of amateurs as they risk their lives to bring these gangs to justice.
The Netflix show’s ensemble includes Steve Coogan, Tom Burke, Hayley Squires, Aml Ameen and Charlotte Ritchie, who step into the shoes of ordinary people taking on a terrifying task. Just thinking about it already has me on the edge of my seat. — pound

What do you get when you cross Hollywood legend Sally Field with a captive octopus, voiced by Alfred Molina? An incredibly faithful film adaptation of Shelby Van Pelt’s work Remarkably brilliant creaturesthat’s what.
Tova (Field), an elderly widow, works night shifts as a cleaner at the local aquarium, but her life changes forever when stranger Callum (Lewis Pullman) comes to town looking to solve an old family mystery.
Am I claiming that a marine mollusk is Netflix’s new Hercule Poirot? Probably. But, where there are some serious questions to answer, streaming Remarkably brilliant creatures It’s far from hard work. — joint venture

Look

missing in action follows Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela), who wants to avenge the murder of her family and become the most powerful crime queen in South Florida. It sounds pretty procedural… until you factor in the erratic vibes that ooze from each episode.
