Prosecutors will not seek charges against Cleveland Browns Quinshon Judkins’ rookie, confirmed Broward’s state prosecutor’s office.
The former Ohio state corridor had faced a minor charging crime of the battery after an incident in Florida.
The charges retired after prosecutors examined police reports, surveillance video, telephone records and other materials. A woman involved in the dispute presented an affidavit, according to a memorandum obtained by ESPN.

Judkins was put in police custody in Fort Lauderdale on July 12. A arrest report said the incident occurred five days before the arrest.
Judkins frustrated after seeing text messages sent by family members, according to the report. The player was accused of hitting a woman with a closed fist near her chin. It was believed that Judkins was driving in a car that came out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at the time of the alleged incident.

The woman was also beaten in her thigh and arm. The officers were shown photos of bruises, the incident report said.
“This incident was not captured in any video surveillance,” the memorandum said. “There are no independent witnesses of the incident. Although the victim had photos that showed injuries suffered, there were also videos in that same period of time where the victim was not observed. In addition, the victim’s injuries represented in the photos could be explained by any of the incidents.

“Finally, there was a delayed report of the incident. The delay is problematic since the victim was alone on numerous occasions without the defendant, he had the capacity and resources to make the report without his knowledge, but he chose not to do so. For the reasons established above, there is no reasonable probability of conviction and this case is being rejected.”

The NFL has monitored the “developments in the matter, which remains under review,” said a league spokesman.
The Browns selected Judkins in the second round of this year’s NFL draft. He remained without sign as his legal situation developed.
