GTA 6 is the most anticipated game of the year, if not all time, and is on track to make over $5 billion by the end of its release week, so it’s understandable that some studios want to avoid releasing their games so close to release for fear of being overshadowed.

Speaking in an interview with TechRadar Gaming about the upcoming release of resonant control, The game’s lead designer, Sergey Mohov, explained that he is looking forward to GTA 6 like everyone else, but he doesn’t think the game’s release will affect Remedy “at all.”
“Honestly, first of all, personally, I’m looking forward to GTA as much as everyone else,” he said. “I’m a fan of [GTA] Vice city. But to be honest, I don’t think it affected us at all.”
Resonant control launches on September 24, eight weeks early GTA 6so Rockstar’s game shouldn’t overshadow the first, and Mohov explained that Remedy’s release date has been “set for a while.”
“We hope it will be a very complete experience from day one when it goes on sale,” he said. “We’ve been planning to release this game in September for as long as I can remember. It really hasn’t been a big consideration for us.”
He added: “Obviously, this is a really exciting year to be a player. We’re going to play all these [games] just like everyone else, but hopefully, you pick up and your readers pick up Resonant control also.”
