BTCTURK said in an update on X that “unusual activity was detected” in hot wallets of the exchange.
“As a precaution, cryptocurrency deposits and retirement have been temporarily suspended. They will be reopened once the work is completed,” he said.
“The vast majority of assets remain in safe cold wallets. Thanks to the strong financial structure of BTCTURK, user assets will not be affected by this situation.”
The exploit or hack assumed another blunt in the cryptographic industry after cryptographic investors lost $ 3.1 billion for hacks and scams in the first half of this year, the largest of which was the rape of $ 1.46 billion in the rival exchange of Bybit.
The blockchain monitoring system marked the activity, triggering alerts that suggested a specific exploit instead of routine operational movements.
