- The Stripe co -founder, John Collison, turned to X to request a function of Google Calendar
- Alphabet’s CEO, Slándar Pichai, confirmed that it had been added only one month later
- Users of social networks are teasing the power of Collison
After a recent request from the Stripe John Collison co -founder (through an X publication), Google has added a new feature to its calendar, demonstrating that the company really listens to customer requests (even if customers may need to be a certain caliber).
Only on July 5, Collison asked the CEO of Google, SUCTAL PICHAI: “Could we obtain Ctrl-Click on the Google calendar to double events, like many native calendar applications?”
A little more than a month later, on August 13, Pichai confirmed that “the function is now live for everyone on Google Calendar on the web.”
Google Calendar obtains a new function of the request for a CEO
After Collison’s success, X users joked about their success in getting Google to create a new feature according to your request, asking you to request solutions for your own problems.
Among the applications was a humorous comment of the Box CEO, Aaron Levie: “John, can you ask Waymo to work along the way through the peninsula?” – To which Pichai responded with an emoji laughing.
The direct intervention of Pichai shows the power of the comments of public products on social media platforms, however, it is not clear if such requests will be part of the formal suggestions of Google in the future.
Although Google’s rapid response to a function request could be unusual, the company at least has a solid regular maintenance history of calendar and other work space applications.
On July 15, the company added support to share reserve pages of calendar appointments directly in emails through Gmail. Google has also added an application (previously known as extensions) for the calendar, among other applications of the work space, Gemini for a deeper integration and a smarter assistant.
