Man, son reserved for the murder of the wife in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi:

In a horrible incident in the Girja area of the jurisdiction of the Dhamial Police of Rawalpindi, a man supposedly tortured his wife until death, with the alleged participation of his son, in an attempt to bury her in secret. The plan was frustrated when the crime came to light during funeral preparations in Kot Addu.

According to the police, on August 10, Samina was taken to a hospital by her husband, Amir Abbas, and her son, who said she had been injured after falling down the stairs. There was no formal report to the Hospital Police facilitation center. On August 14, Samina succumbed to her wounds. The defendant then placed his body in a coffin and silently transported Kot Addu for burial without informing his family.

The relatives learned of their death through the local community and hastened to Kot Addu. During the ritual washing of the body, they noticed clear signs of torture. They arrested the burial, alerted the local police and transported the body back to Rawalpindi for legal actions.

The police officer of the city of Rawalpindi (CPO) Khalid Hamdani realized and ordered the Dhamial Police to act. A post mortem exam was performed, and a case of murder was recorded under positions of homicide and hiding evidence on the complaint of the victim’s father, Ghulam Akhtar.

Akhtar, a Kot Addu resident, declared that his daughter had married Amir Abbas 18 years ago without family consent, and had three children. The family had little contact with her. On the morning of August 14, he heard the announcement of his funeral and went to the house with relatives. The women who were preparing Samina’s body revealed wounds and bruises, which led him to call the police.

Akhtar also claimed that Amir Abbas would take other women to the house and force Samina to immoral activities. After her refusal, Abbas, along with her children, supposedly killed her to death. Police have begun an investigation and assured that the suspects will be arrested soon.
