The former English football star, Wayne Rooney, felt belittled by what she felt it was a “very unfair” characterization by the NFL legend Tom Brady During a recent episode of the new docuseries after Birmingham City FC.
The Amazon Prime series, “Built in Birmingham: Brady & The Blues”, follows the English football club during the 2024-2025 season under a new property, which Brady joined as a minority owner in 2023.

“I am a little worried about the work ethics of our chief coach,” Brady said in the clip. “I mean, I don’t know. I don’t have great instincts in that.”
Rooney responded to the comment in a recent episode of his program at the BBC, “The Wayne Rooney Show”.
“I think it was a very unfair comment. I mean, when I went to Birmingham, they were in a disaster, really,” Manchester United’s legend began. “I think Tom entered once, which was the day before a game in which the day is a little lighter anyway, and I don’t think he really understood football so well at that time. Maybe he does it now.”

Despite offending for the comment, Rooney gave credit to Brady’s methods that won seven Super Bowl titles.
“But what he understands is that he is a great worker. We know it. So, that is why I am really disappointed with the comment because football is not NFL. The NFL works for three months a year. The players also need to rest. So, I think it was very unfair, the way it came out and portrayed that.
“Listen, respect Tom Brady massively. He is one of the best, if not the best athlete of all time, and Birmingham seems to be receiving it at this time, which is good.”
