Karachi: The metropolis residents woke up on Tuesday with heavy rains, turning the climate of the pleasant port city after a brief period of warm and humid climate.

As Showers reported in various parts of the metropolis, including the II Chunrigar Road, Sharea Faisal, Airport Road and others, the weather expert Jawad Memon has said that the city is expected to witness intermittent rainfall throughout the day.

“A monozonic system is present in the Arabic Sea. Due to moisture, the system has become a low pressure area,” Memon said by predicting more moderate showers.

The last showers come in the context of the forecast of the Pakistan Meteorology (PMD) of isolated showers in the country’s financial center until August 23.

With a strong monsoon entering Sindh, PMD said, it is expected that the storm/rain with few heavy falls moderated to isolated in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Larkana, Qambar Shahdokot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, Tharparkar and the surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, the main secretary of SENDH has ordered the Administration, the Local Government Department and the Provincial Authority for Disaster Management (PDMA) to remain alert.

“The immediate drainage of rainwater must be guaranteed,” said the main secretary by directing the attached commissioners who guarantee their presence along with their staff in the field.

By expanding climatic conditions, climate experts have advised citizens to avoid coming to the light of the expected electric storms in Karachi.

Using citizens to use their cell phones only for emergency calls during severe electric storms, meteorologists have also alerted people who do not bathe and wash the dishes, since the rays can hit a house and can make the current pass through iron pipes.
