Islamabad:
ISPR DG LT Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the president of the NDMA, the Gen, Inam Haider gene, and the Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, the media reported on Tuesday on the ongoing aid operations in the midst of heavy rains and monzónic floods.
DG ISPR said the Army, under the direction of the Army Chief, had intensified help operations, rescuing 6,903 people and providing medical support through nine camps in KP.
Eight army units dedicated themselves to relief works in the province, while two battalions operated in Buner. Army Aviation was also helping in rescue and supply missions.
