According to the reports, Gu gave a health update on his Weibo account.
“Unfortunately, yesterday a very terrible accident occurred due to a human error,” he wrote. “I wish I will return soon in the snow, but I am still waiting for the final confirmation of the team of experts.
“I have to concentrate completely during training, especially when I am preparing to start, since it is very dangerous to be interrupted. I also have to concentrate on imagining and imagining the movements while I am in the cable car. To save time, I do not have pauses for lunch and try to use the bath as little as possible. Please do not record or take photos while I am training.”
Gu won two gold medals and a money at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.
