Islamabad:
In what is seen as a gesture of goodwill towards Islamabad, the Afghanistan intelligence agency arrested three alleged recruiters and commanders accused of collaborating with the forbidden Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other terrorist groups.
The General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) carried out operations in the provinces of Paktika and Khost, arrested the commander of the Mullah Sangin group, Hayatullah, aka Ghalchaki Tangiwal, along with two of its nearby associates, sources told the Express PAkGazette. GDA officials also dismantled the group’s local office during the raids.
The sources said the suspects have been transferred to Kabul’s Pul-Bul Pul-Bul. Hayatullah is accused of being one of the main commanders responsible for recruiting Afghan citizens for the TTP and the Tehreek-E-E-Taliban Gandapur (TTG) faction.
The suspects were supposedly involved in consigning a terrorist attack aimed at interrupting the trilateral meeting between Pakistan, China and Afghanistan in Kabul. It is also reported that the Islamic Emirate of the “Independence Day” of August 15 of Afghanistan were opposed that mark the departure of the United States and the allied forces of Afghanistan.
The arrests arrive in the middle of the renewed anti -terrorism coordination between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with Islamabad urging Kabul repeatedly to act against the sanctuaries and facilitators of TTP operating on Afghan soil.
Islamabad has also affirmed that the TTP has formed a link with other terrorist groups, particularly those that operate in Baluchistan, including the Baluchistan Liberation Army (Bla) forbidden and its notorious Majeed brigade. Pakistan’s claim has been supported by the UN Security Council, confirmed by the TTP Bla/Majeed Nexus brigade in his latest report.
