Why would the 21 -year -old make the change now before the last Grand Slam of the year? The answer may have to do with your service.

Since its shocking first round in Wimbledon, Gound has fought with his service, which plays a tremendous factor to win the best in the world, especially in tournaments such as the US Open.

Macmillan has a history of setting one of the best services in female tennis, since the number 1 of the world Aryna Sabalenka used his experience to correct that part of his game.

Macmillan was seen on the Arthur Ashe Stadium court on Wednesday morning when Gound was hitting with Elina Svitolina.

“Many things join, and this could be a very good relationship,” Darren Cahill de ESPN said to Forbes about Gound and Macmillan. “It is very thorough … I have spoken with him many, many times before, and the fact that he has experience with different athletes from different sports, both male and female, uses the new technology, goes to the video, really breakdown the biomechanics.”

Macmillan is the founder of Sports Science Lab, who specializes in sports performance, physical state and physical rehabilitation.

Gound’s game has not been completely off this year, as he won the France Open in May. But his service has been inconsistent, and clearly wants to advance before a tournament for many in the United States would love to see her win again in her homeland.

Gonff was the 2023 champion in Flushing, Queens, but could not defend his title in 2024 when he lost in the fourth round. Sabalenka defeated another American, Jessica Pegula, in straight sets to claim victory.
