Deion Sanders will embark on his third season as a soccer coach of the Colorado buffalo and the first without his children Shedeur and Shilo playing for him.
The ESPN star, Stephen A. Smith, wondered in a “First Take” segment with the university football expert Paul Finebaum What would happen if Sanders decided to take a job with a school in the SEC? He referred specifically to the idea that Sanders replaced Kalen, I must as a coach of Alabama Crimson Tide.

Alabama, one of the greatest powers of university football in the last decade, failed to reach the university soccer playoff last year in its first season since Nick Saban retired. In 2023, the team lost to the Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl. Michigan won the National Championship.
“Imagine if you were in Tuscaloosa,” Smith began. “What would happen if, instead of should, he was training Alabama? What would happen if he was training in Texas A&M with that oil money? Those students who contributed to the program and beyond. What would happen if he were training somewhere like Florida? What would happen if Florida had gone with him? That is where he wanted to go.
Smith proceeded to say that he thought that the crimson tide was “considerably softer” in 2024 and that it would not have imported if Sanders packed his bags in Boulder for Alabama’s challenge.

“And so, I only tell myself, he in the sec … listening, Florida, Alabama, because they don’t sell me in Debeer. I know he did a great job in Washington,” he said. “But listening, they miss Nick Saban in Alabama. They miss Nick Saban. Damn, I miss Nick Saban … When you don’t have it, you can’t have someone to bring a play from Delabama to Alabama. That is meat and potatoes. That is a fillet and potatoes for breakfast. That’s what we are talking about here.
“We did not see that with Debeer. I thought they were considerably softer, and I will not lie to you, I would not have cared at all if Alabama changed the course and brought someone like ‘star schedule’ to Alabama. That would have been spectacular. And I think it is something that they should still consider if this season is a repetition of last season.”
I must, like any chief coach who tries to replace Saban in Alabama, has enough pressure on him as he is. Team No. 8 in La Nación will play in Florida State to start its season on August 30.
Sanders was, at one time, the objective of the position of chief coach of the Dallas Cowboys. But the two parties never reached an agreement.

It does not seem that Sanders wants to leave Colorado and is more focused on the next season and his health as he advances.
