Aaron Rodgers has not yet taken a click in a game with a Pittsburgh Steelers uniform, but the veteran field marshal is already establishing the tone.
During a recent appearance in the podcast “Not only of football” of the Steelers Linquers, Rodgers, Rodgers talked about how he reacted when he saw the Skylar Thompson field marshal receive a blow and be shot down during the first part of the training camp.
“And one thing, a really important moment, Skylar was demolished early in the camp. And I went out as, ‘what the hell has just happened?’ I looked back and nobody walked around.

Rodgers added that he ordered the lines to embody the role of “police” every time they take the football field.
“I said: ‘We have to protect each other. And you are the police in the field. You are the older brothers. [Metcalf] For me who is there (in) field marshal or who is there (in) running. I don’t care if it is a preseason practice, whatever. You have to protect them. “

Rodgers suggested that he realized that his message resonated with the offensive line after observing that another situation developed several days later.

Jones also recognized the vast NFL experience that Rodgers brings and praised four times MVP of the League for having “a good sense of who he is.”
“But it is also good to have that bond to have the understanding, ‘ok, it is a veterinarian. I know everything, let me make sure that everyone else is fine and then we continue with whatever is happening, whatever the situation.’ Simply things like that.
The Steelers play their last preseason game of the year on Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers. Rodgers and the Steelers will open their regular season on September 7 against their former team, the New York Jets.
