The suspects were locked in the Karamzai Khail mosque, from where they hired the security forces into a great fire exchange.

The alleged terrorists suffered strong casualties in the shooting, sources said in addition, adding that a mop operation was being performed in the areas.

While the fight was ongoing, two mortar shells landed in a nearby town, leaving two men, like many women and four minor girls injured. They were urgently transferred to the Wana Hospital, where doctors said their condition was stable.

In the neighboring district of Waziristan del Norte, two men, a police officer and a young tribal, were killed in separate directed attacks, extending panic among the local population.

In the first incident, the gunmen opened fire against agent Shoaib, who was deployed in Mir Ali Chowk near Mir Ali Bazaar, around noon. The assailants, who set up a vehicle, sprayed the police with bullets, killing him on the spot. Shoaib’s body, resident of Gredoi Dosali, was transferred to Mir Ali Sedeurtes hospital for legal medical procedures.

In the second incident, armed men kidnapped a young man from Mir Ali. After two hours, his body full of bullets was discovered in an abandoned house near the Mosque of Ahmadullah. Although their identity could not be officially confirmed, the sources stated that it belonged to the tribal district of Bajaur.

No group has immediately assumed the responsibility of the objective murders. Police recorded separate cases and launched investigations.

The father of the martyred policeman said that his son had put the police uniform to serve the people, but was attacked in broad daylight. He demanded that the Government and the KP police department make sure that their child’s sacrifice was not in vain and that the murderers were taken before justice as soon as possible.

The old local tribal Malik Abdul Rauf said that the incidents of the objective murders had become routine, leaving the members of the vulnerable tribe. “The government must take strict measures to restore peace,” he demanded.

The social activist Arif Khan regretted that the streets and bazaars had become fields to kill, warning that if the situation persisted, the local population would be forced to migrate.
