- The proxy use of the United Kingdom has grown as the VPN face potentially stricter rules and restrictions
- Specialized proxies give companies flexibility, precision of location and resistance compared to VPNs
- British companies are adopting representatives in electronic commerce, finance and marketing
Many companies in the United Kingdom worry that more VPN regulation could be on the cards, after the online divisive security law led to an explosive interest in the tools, promoting regulators to realize and companies to explore alternatives.
It is not about traditional businesses (such as Sonicwall, Cisco Anyconnect or Fortinet) that ensure employees access to internal networks, but specialized VPN services used for online external operations.
As a result of the growing uncertainty, companies are increasingly resorting to power services, which offer greater flexibility and less compliance concerns than VPNs.
Interest increase of the United Kingdom
The proxies, unlike the VPNs that encrypt traffic and direct it through a single tunnel, offer a more granular routing and customizable access, which allows organizations to make a collection of specific data of the location, navigate geostrictions and monitor competitors with a reduced risk of detection or blockage.
Decodo data show that proxy users of the United Kingdom increased by 65% after the launch of the online security law, while proxy traffic increased by 88%.
That points to a growing dependence on proxies as a standard part of digital infrastructure instead of a niche tool.
“Companies around the world are becoming smarter about how they operate in highly competitive landscapes. Instead of choosing the most popular tools, they are choosing what really works best for them, either faster, easier to use or works better with specific restrictions in the region. It shows that people are thinking more critically about their options,” said Vytaautas Savickas, CEO in Decod.
A reason why proxies are expanding so fast is their technical maturity, says Decodo. Suppliers now group business degree characteristics with easy -to -use designs, which makes them suitable for global companies and smaller companies.
At the same time, more companies in the United Kingdom are learning to differentiate between VPN and Proxies and are matching tools with their objectives.
“More organizations in the United Kingdom are investing time to understand the tools that feed safe and efficient online operations. Most companies try different solutions, suppliers and investigate the proxies and VPN, and are also making more informed strategic decisions,” said Gabriele Verbickaitė, marketing manager of products in decod.
The representatives are demonstrating to be especially valuable in sectors such as electronic commerce, finance and digital marketing, with companies that use them for tasks such as advertisement verification, price monitoring, SEO monitoring and fraud prevention.
Options such as residential proxies, mobile and ISP allow greater stability and location precision compared to older methods.
“The United Kingdom companies are quickly adopting power services, going beyond simple VPNs to more advanced configurations that offer greater control over their online activity. It is no longer just about staying private: performance and reliability are now equally important,” said VioTas Juknys, head of commerce in Decodo.
