- The Google Pixel 10 Pro has been compared to a very low GPU score
- It is even beaten here by Pixel 9 Pro
- That could mean that it is bad for games, but we would not read too much in a result
Google Pixel phones have never been the most powerful phones, with their tensioner chips that are left behind the rivals at the reference points. But surprisingly, the Google Pixel 10 series could be even more committed than the Pixel 9 series, at least when it comes to the GPU (graphics processing unit).
In an X publication, @lafaiel (through Phone Arena) shared a screenshot of a Geekbench list for the Google Pixel 10 Pro, in which Pixel 10 Pro achieved a GPU score of only 3,707. Higher is better here, and for comparison, the Pixel 9 Pro score is 9,023, while rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and the iPhone 16 Pro achieve scores of 26,333 and 33,374 respectively.
Then, according to this result, Pixel 10 Pro is far behind, although the fact that it obtained even less than its predecessor is especially worrying.
The Pixel 10 Pro GPU has a very low GPU computer yield. I wonder if it is a problem that can be solved with the controller updates 🫠pic.twitter.com/qjstcdo6wJAugust 20, 2025
Performance updates in other areas
Now, the performance of the GPU is only part of the power image, and Pixel 10 pro must overcome Pixel 9 Pro in Geekbench in general, with the same source registering a single central score of 2,329 and a multiple result of 6,358 for the Spec’d Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, compared to 1,948 and 4,530 of a single CORE. Pixel 9 pro xl.
But such a low GPU score means that Google Pixel 10 Pro could have difficulty demanding games.
Google states that the Pixel 10 series will feel faster in the use of Everday, and will work better for AI tasks, and that is probably true, so if you don’t care about games, this should not affect you much. But if you are a great mobile player, then you may want to think twice before buying the Pixel 10 Pro, or any Pixel 10 model, since everyone uses the same G5 tensioning chipset, so probably everyone has a similar GPU performance.
That said, although this seems like a legitimate screenshot of Geekbench, it is still just a result, so it is possible that this is an atypical case. It is also feasible that Google can improve the performance of the Pixel 10 Pro GPU through a software update.
Therefore, there is still hope that he will not disappoint as much as his supply suggests.
