Islamabad:
Bilateral trade between Pakistan and the United States has seen a significant increase during the current fiscal year.
According to sources, in fiscal year 2024-25, the commercial volume between the two countries increased by 16%, reaching $ 7,598 billion.
The data show that Pakistan exports to the United States are $ 5,836 billion, marking a 10% increase compared to last year. On the other hand, the imports of the United States ascend to $ 1,763 billion, which reflects a strong increase of 40%.
In the export sector, textile products were still dominant. Exports of sheets, tablecloths and kitchen clothes reached $ 1,038 billion, while exports of costumes, jackets and men for men were $ 936 million.
Other prepared garments obtained $ 386 million, $ 361 million t -shirts, t -shirts and cardigans $ 312 million, and stockings (socks) $ 278 million.
Shirt exports for knitted men were valued at $ 244 million, leather items at $ 165 million and women’s costumes, jackets and dresses of $ 157 million.
On the import side, the greatest growth was recorded in cotton imports, which rose to $ 393 million. Iron and steel scrap imports were $ 159 million, $ 137 million soy and coal at $ 56 million.
Other important imports included chemical turbine of wood and gas pulp (each of $ 50 million), automatic data processing machines ($ 40 million), oil oil ($ 38 million), medical instruments ($ 36 million) and dry fruits ($ 33 million).
