Drummer Brann Dailor told the crowd: “We lost someone very special for us yesterday. Brent Hinds, 25 years with us as our guitarist, one of the most creative and beautiful people we have found in this world, left us tragically. Very, very unfortunate.”
Although Brent said earlier this year that he had been “expelled” from Mastodon, also composed of Bill Kelliher and Troy Sanders, Brann insists that there was a lot of “love” for him in the band.
The 50 -year -old drummer continued: “We loved him so much, so, a lot. And we had the ups and downs of a 25 -year relationship, do you know what I mean? It is not always perfect, it is not always surprising, but we were brothers until the end.”
“And we really loved each other and we made a lot of very beautiful music together. And I think that will have the test of time, evidenced by you here tonight.” Blood and thunder Mentioned talent.
Brann also mentioned: “So we will continue playing the beautiful and beautiful Brent music that helped us to do, that we formed this band together and travel the world together, we slept in a truck together, we put our heads on the beds of the King Kitty litter, we got too drunk to remember anything the next day, millions of times and again with the love we share and that we share and all we play We play, all requests, all requests.
“I don’t know. We are lost by words. We are absolutely devastated and crushed to lose it and never be able to have it back. But you did well that we took the stage and did this tonight. So that was for f ******** Brent, right? Forgot Star said, expressing his gratitude to fans.
“Thank you for helping us overcome that, it was very hard for us. But you are incredible, so thanks,” concluded the drummer of Mastodon, concluded Brann Dailor.
