The Minister of Planning, Ahsan IQBAL, presided over Sunday a meeting on water and energy problems in Gwadar to improve facilities for local residents.
According to a statement, the meeting discussed in detail the shortage of energy and water problems in Gwadar.
The planning minister directed the establishment of a 170 MW solar plant in GWADAR so that an uninterrupted supply of water and energy for domestic and industrial use could be guaranteed.
The meeting decided that 2MW of energy would be provided immediately to guarantee the water supply in Gwadar so that the problems that arise in the water supply due to the shortage of energy could be remedied.
