Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited three heroes of Gilgit Baltistan who had saved around 300 human lives by providing timely information on the impacts of the glacial explosion or flooding of the bursts of the glacial lake (Glof) in the Ghizer district.
“Wasiyat Khan, Ansar and Muhammad Khan have been invited to Islamabad in the Prime Minister’s board,” said Prime Minister’s media wing in a statement on Sunday.
The Prime Minister would present special awards to these three personalities in recognition of his role to transmit prior information about the GLOF in the Ghizer district, thus saving hundreds of lives of residents.
