- Adjustable channels for immersive 3D audio
- High -resolution audio through Tidal Connect and Google Cast
- New dialogue improvement mode
Sennheiser’s flagship sound bar, Ambeo Max, is receiving an important firmware update called Ambeo OS2 that should offer an audio update serious to what is already a very impressive sound bar.
This is the most important update since Sennheiser Ambeo Max was launched in 2019, and maintains the current sound bar with more recent high -end examples of the best Sony and Kef sound bars.
There are three key components for update. There are customizable 3D audio; Extended loss performance; and a way of improvement of the voice to offer a better vocal clarity in movies, television and sports programs.
Sennheiser Amboo OS2: What’s new and how to get it?
OS2 offers adjustable volume levels for the virtualization of lateral, upper and central channel speakers, allowing you to adjust the 3D audio to adapt to your room and your own personal preference.
The Dolby Atmos music in Tidal has complemented with support for up to 24 bits/192 kHz through Tidal Connect. And now you can transmit up to 24 bits/96 kHz through the cast of Google for Audio.
Last but not least, there is a new way of improvement of the voice that Sennheiser says that “it ensures that dialogue remains clear and intelligible even when sound effects or music dominate the mixture.” I wonder how to deal with Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar.
Ambeo Max owners can obtain the new update in two ways: through the Smart Control application in iOS or Android, or downloading it to a USB unit of Sennheiser-caringing.com.
Obviously, this is good news for Ambeo Max owners. But I think it is worth noting for the possible buyers of the Sennheiser sound bar too, since a company that offers such a significant update after five and a little years is a fairly impressive commitment to its customers.
