The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Tuesday announced the results of the intermediate exams of part I and II.
In the Pre-Médico Group, Aleena Tariq of APS Rawalpindi assured the first position with 1,071 points, followed by Warda Sarfraz of the Scholar Science College with 1,070 points.
The third place was shared by Urj Malik from APS Gujranwala and Manahil Murtaza de Rasoo College.
In the group prior to engineering, Muzzammil Sajid of the Scholar Science College secured the upper position with 1,063 points.
Muhammad Sami of Kips College secured secondly with 1,059 points, while Ayesha Naeem was third with 1,054 brands.
According to the Board, 97,928 candidates appeared in part I, of which 60,794 passed. In part II, 96,521 candidates set the exams, with 79,881 declared successful.
The percentage of general approval was 83.19.
The success rate among boys was 75.85 percent, compared to 88.91 percent among girls. As for the group, the approval rate was 94.04 percent in Pre-Medical and 88.89 percent in preengineering.
Going to the ceremony, the Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, Nadeem Mahbub, described the FBISE reforms and “a model for other joints”, while recognizing the weaknesses in the exam system that must still be addressed.
