Islamabad:
Three Afghan women married to Pakistani citizens have asked the Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC) to avoid their deportation and seek a permanent residence in Pakistan.
Judge Inam Amin Minhas took the requests, but then sent the matter to the president of the Supreme Court, noting that a similar case was already pending before the court of the president of the president.
During the hearing, lawyer Umar Ijaz Gilani, lawyer for the petitioners, argued that foreign women who marry Pakistani citizens had the right to citizenship rights.
