The star of the San Luis cardinals, Willsson Contreras, received a prohibition of six games one day after he was involved in a tense exchange during a game against Pittsburgh’s pirates.
The MLB also handed a fine three times All-Star. The amount of the fine was not revealed. Contreras has informed the league that intends to appeal the suspension. The decision to appeal allowed Contreras to play in Tuesday night’s game against the pirates.
During Monday’s contest, Contreras released a bat that erroneously hit Cardinals Brown Brown.

Contreras expressed confusion for the decision to get him out of the game. He said he argued balls and strikes with the referee of Derek Thomas plate, but did not approach a specific launch and said nothing disrespectful.

“Apparently, he heard something (he thought) that I said. I didn’t say that,” said Contreras.
The chief of the crew, Jordan Baker, told a pool reporter that Contreras and Marmol were expelled by “saying vulgar things” to Thomas. Baker also said that Contreras made contact with the referee of the plate.

After Monday’s victory, Marmol agreed with his player.
“We will have to immerse ourselves to make sure what Willson says is what happened,” he said at that time. “But I believe him.”
Contreras was based on a double play in his first appearance on the plate on Tuesday, and was beaten for a launch during his second turn.
