Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 25% discount on tickets for passengers traveling from Paris to Pakistan, with open reserves until August 31, 2025, to travel between August 25 and September 28.
The discount also applies to connection routes with Air France in Europe and the United Kingdom.
The airline confirmed that it will suspend its Lahore -Paris service due to low demand, with the final flights scheduled for September 12 and 17.
The Islamabad -Paris route will remain in operation.
Previously, Pia launched direct flights from Lahore to Baku, Azerbaijan, as part of his efforts to expand international routes and promote tourism.
Flight PK-159 left Lahore with 152 passengers on board. A brief ceremony was held at the airport, attended by defense minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Azerbaijan ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov and senior aviation officials.
Asif said that the route was part of PIA’s strategy to expand its network and strengthen ties with Azerbaijan, noting that the airline had been recovering under reforms initiated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Earlier this month, PIA reported its first annual gain in 21 years, registering profits per RS5.01 action by 2023, according to the audited financial statements.
