Islamabad:
The Gates Foundation will support WHO in its association with Pakistan to strengthen the preparation and response to ongoing monsoon floods.
According to the WHO, the donation will support the WHO association with Pakistan in 33 districts affected by high-risk floods and priority in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab and Baluchistan to meet the health needs of more than 465,000 people.
The donation of $ 1 million of the Gates Foundation will support the national and provincial authorities of Pakistan to guarantee the continuity of health services that save lives.
