Let’s be honest. When movies leave your favorite streamer, some of them will be surprised more than others, so when Rappín‘ Leave the video prime in a little less than a week from now on, there will probably be no people crying openly in the streets.
But although I can probably live without Mario Van Peebles showing its neighbors “how to expel Riffraff with Rap music”, there are some real gems that leave prime videos at the end of this month and there are three in particular, I think they are movies that should be seen.
For my elections this week, I have tried to cover a wide range of films, and I think it is fair to say that apart from its impressive ratthen tomatoes ratings, these films do not have exactly much in common: there are not many murderous clowns in the literary biographical film Hood or the urgent, suspense Pelham taking two three. But the three films are guaranteed to entertain, although in very different ways.
Hood

Philip Seymour Hoffman is excellent as the starting writer, and this dramatization of real events follows Truman Capote while investigating the murder of a Kansas family. The writer of the big city travels to America of the little town with his friend, Harper Lee, and his research on the case and friendship that forms with one of the murderers leads to the creation of one of the classics of American literature, in the cold blood of 1965.
The film has a very high rating of 89% of the summary of Rotten Tomatoes critics, and comes with a great praise of The New York Review of Books: “Hood It is the only film that I know that it is closely suggested how the complex process of creating a literary work is really seen. “
The voice of the town also described it (without link available), saying: “Hood It is a fresh and polished mirrors that reflects the ways in which Truman Capote came to write (and was written by) in cold blood. “E Empire gave the movie the five full stars. It is” an exceptional film, anchored by a great central performance. “
Terrifier 2

It is unlikely that this appears in a double bill with a hood, but Damien Leone’s Slasher sequel has a huge qualification of 87% of critics with strong stomachs. Once again art, the clown points to adolescents in a small city, and during its more than two hours, the film offers an elegant and genuinely terrifying horror story.
This is not a movie for heart weak. “Omits dinner before looking,” recommends the Weekly, “And maybe shower and then do something good for humanity later?” And Horrorbuzz was cautious in his praise, saying: “Mae West was cited once saying:” Too good can be wonderful! “. Here it depends completely on how he felt about the first Terrifier “.
But even the media won the media. “The atrocious art that the clown returns in this intensely bloody sequel that strives much more, and is much smarter, than the original film.”
Pelham taking one two three

Attend
This classic thriller was remote, to a large extent without success, as a Denzel vehicle in Washington in 2009. But the one who wishes is the 1974 original starring Walter Matthau, who is currently sitting with 98% completely deserved in Rotten Tomatoes. It is the story of a bold crime: four men go up in a New York subway train, separate the carriage and have 17 passengers as hostages. If your demands are not fulfilled, they will shoot a hostage every hour.
Matthau’s “wonderfully tired sensation of Irony is perfect,” says Hollywood reporter, while the deceased Roger Ebert told Chicago Sun-Times readers that “the good thing about Pelham’s example in the way is that the performances are allowed enough Leeway to worry about people not by the mechanics of the plot. formula that trash changes to be a great classified garbage, after all “”. “
As Empire said, it is “the type of sandy and implacable thriller that could only come from the 70s” and has influenced a lot of culture: “Quentin Tarantino later would take away from criminals using colors as names named in code for dogs of deposits; Beastie’s boys referred to the song that was shot.”
