Cleveland Browns The Legend Joe Thomas delivered a message to the “cult of Shedeur Sanders” after the controversy that followed his performance in the last preseason game of the team.
Sanders played with the third Stringers during the last preseason game of the team against the Los Angeles Rams and fought. He entered the third quarter and completed three of six passes for 14 yards, while taking five catches for a loss of 41 yards.
Sanders’ defenders blamed the coaching staff for their struggles. But Thomas retreated during a recent appearance in “No with Dakich” from Outkick.

“There are many nuances, that the cult of Shedeur Sanders does not have. They simply believe that we are fooling for not being able to see that this guy is the best from the cut bread, the best field marshal from Tom Brady, and is ready at this time to be able to raise the franchise to his first Super Bowl of all time, and we are the idiots for not seeing it,” Thomas said.
The member of the Professional Football Hall of Fame said he believes that Sanders has a high roof, but still needs a lot of development before becoming an NFL head.
“I think he has a higher roof. He is a great creator of the game, he has tremendous precision, he has that feeling when he is in the game of how to make those big plays. But just because you have that really tall roof and that potential to be able to do it does not mean that you can do it now,” said Thomas.
The Patriots claim that the favorite of the fans Tommy Devito faces the exemptions

“And as a first round talent, that is typically the guy who can immediately put there and give them everything they have and there are growth pains with each quarter, especially a rookie. I think the reason why Shedeur fell to the fifth round is because they feel he has a lot of development that he still needs to do before it can be a quarterback from NFL.”
The 10 times PRO Bowler said that there is no conspiracy to sabotage Sanders, in any case, the opposite, since the better Sanders is, the more attention the sport can attract.
“The reality of the NFL draft is that you have 32 teams that everyone wants to overcome, so they are not conspiring to sabotage someone who, by the way, would be great for the League. And he is great for the League because the League wants eye balloons,” said Thomas.

“They want people who see their games, they want these great personalities, so there is no reason: there is no reason for trying to conspire against him and sabotage him. Actually, the opposite: they want to promote such a guy because it is so good for the League. It makes no sense at any level.”
Sanders will enter the season as Field Marshal number 3 of the team in the depth table. Joe Flacco will begin when the Browns open against the Cincinnati Bengals in week 1, with Dillon Gabriel as his support.
