Bill Belichick had a moment of “Welcome to American University Football” on Monday night, since his North Carolina tar were expelled by frogs with TCU horns, 48-14, to start the 2025 university football season.
It was a night full of expectations, celebrities appearances and pure exaggeration at Kenan Stadium, since Belichick’s first test of being a university football coach began at home in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels hoped to mark the beginning of a new era with a victory not only to obtain another first under the Belichick curriculum, but the program is directed in the right direction from the jump.
However, cornudas frogs had something else in mind, since they were harmed by the crowd that shouted for more than 50,000, which included characters such as Randy Moss, Michael Jordan, Roy Williams, Lawrence Taylor and many more.

The Belichick era began with an impressive TouchDown of North Carolina Opening driving, since the Tar Heels went up to 83 yards through the field with Caleb Hood with its first score of the season.
But everything was TCU after that, scoring 41 unanswered points on his way to an easy victory.

North Carolina seemed to recover some impulse when the Hoover pass was too high for its planned receiver, and the cost of Kaleb of the Tar Heels made an acrobatic interception to turn the field.
But Campo de la UNC, Gio López, returned to TCU, and it was in the worst way when veteran Bud Clark took a route and took the interception to the house to the house for a pick-six that did 17-7. The horns would end half with a short field goal, taking an advantage of 20-7 in the locker room when the crowd was stunned.
However, that feeling would not end, since the first play of the second half was a 75 yards touchdown led by the star of the horns, Kevorian Barnes, who stayed without touching himself through the right side line to open the game.
UNC could not return at that point, since the frogs continued up the score with the Trent Battle runner running for 28 yards to put it 34-7, and López was fired by Jonathan Bax, leading his horn teammate in Dedean de Devean to collect football and ran 37 yards for another touchdown.

At that time, Belichick changed Quarterbacks, going with Max Johnson, who led a touchdown unit at the end of the third quarter to add some points for the Tar Heels. But the game was out of reach, and it is clear that the Tar Heels have a lot to work in the next week.
Meanwhile, Hoover was in front of many NFL explorers, going 27 of 36 for 284 yards with two touchdown passes and an interception released. Barnes had 11 haules for 113 yards, while Dwyer obtained nine receptions for a 136 yards a whop to help the TCU cause.
No one expected Belichick to immediately change the program and make them compete for a national title, but this was a shocking result to be dominated at home to begin their university training career.
