Bunni Dex stops intelligent contracts after exploit drains $ 8.4 million in all chains

Bunni, a decentralized exchange based on UNISWAP V4 ‘, stopped all intelligent contract functions after a security violation drained approximately $ 8.4 million in cryptography.

Blockchain Certik’s security firm said the exploit directed Bunnihub, the main Bunni contract system, and turned out at $ 2.3 million in losses in Ethereum. An attack before the Uniswap Labs layer 2 network, Unichain, brought the total losses to around $ 8.4 million. The firm drew the funds stolen from two Ethereum wallets.

Bunni developers have suspended all contractual operations in supported networks while investigating the incident, according to a social networks publication.

“As a precaution, we have stopped all the functions of intelligent contracts in all networks. Our team is actively investigating and will provide updates soon. Thank you for your patience,” says Bunni’s publication.

The exchange is executed in the “Hooks” function of UNISWAP V4, which the Uniswap Labs CEO, Hayden Adams, described as “accessories to customize how the pools, swaps, rates and LP positions interact.”
