Lenovo has expanded its LapTop Thinkpad line with the introduction of the Thinkpad P16 Gen 3, its last flagship work station.
The new laptop was released in IFA 2025 in Berlin and marks the entrance of Lenovo into the Core Ultra 9 285 HX generation, finally joining the HP and Dell rivals to offer work stations with the new processor.
The ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 is designed as a desktop replacement for professionals who execute demanding work loads. The scale memory capacity until 192 GB of DDR5, and the storage can reach 12 TB through three SSD PCIE GEN5.

The device comes with an option of Intel Core Ultra 200Hx processors, with up to 24 nuclei and an integrated NPU to handle AI tasks.
It can be configured with the NVIDIA RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell GPU with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory, which gives it the complex 3D representation capacity, CAD applications and high -end simulations.
An OLED Touch screen of 16:10 16:10 is available, along with other screen options, all compatible with a 99.9Wh battery.
At 2.54 kg, the chassis is portable for a work station class device, although it is still built to serve as a replacement for a fixed workstation.
The connectivity includes Thunderbolt 5 and Thunderbolt 4 Ports, HDMI 2.1, 2.5Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and optional 5g.
Security characteristics include a digital footprint reader, detection of human presence and a privacy shutter for the 5MP camera.
The design incorporates recycled metals and plastics, with Lenovo pointing to its EPEAT Gold and Energy Star certifications.
The ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 will be available from October with an initial price of $ 3,339.
Together with the flagship device, Lenovo announced three other work stations.
The ThinkPad P16V Gen 3 is a lower cost option with Core Ultra H processors and even a GPU RTX Pro 2000. Available in September 2025, it will be priced at $ 2,249.
The ThinkPad P16S Gen 4 balances the performance with portability, presents a 16 -inch screen, a memory of up to 96 GB and graphics RTX Pro 1000, which will have a price of $ 1,859.
Finally, the ThinkPad P14S Gen 6 provides a 14.5 -inch form factor with similar specifications, which offers up to 96 GB of RAM, RTX Pro 1000 graphics and 2 TB storage. Lenovo has valued that model from $ 1,819.
