The KP Cabinet approves RS1.247B Subsidation for Bajaur Flood Victims

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has sanctioned RS1,247 billion in relief for families displaced by floods in Bajaur, as part of a broader set of measures aimed at improving governance, public services and infrastructure throughout the province.

The measure is produced as part of a broader package of development and well -being decisions taken at the 38th meeting of the province’s cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.

In the session, the cabinet approved a new communication strategy for the government and the sanctioned reconstruction of the police lines of Pak Sadd Shaheed, as well as new police stations and positions in Peshawar. The land for a police station in Akbarpura, razor, was also illuminated.

The cabinet improved Swabi’s sub-Cárcel to a district prison and approved the staff and transfers of prisoners. The Oghi hospital in Mansehra received approval to be updated to the -D category, while cultural subsidies were assigned for Kalash and Bahá’í communities.

Other decisions included the acquisition of 50 additional buses for the BRT fleet and establish the largest safari park in Nowshera. The forest department received 14,718 acres in the Piru Band of Tank for reforestation. The historic chashma rest house in Dera Ismail Khan will now fall under the position of the Department of Archeology, and an KP craft exhibition center will open in Islamabad.

Financial reforms included the increase in net actions of hydroelectric income for districts affected by the dam from 10% to 15%, amendments to the rules of the Commission for Medical Care and Women, and reviews to the Seal Law of 1899.

The cabinet increased the minimum monthly salary of the province of RS36,000 to RS40,000. The financing was also sanctioned for the construction of a Nadra office in Dera Ismail Khan, a subsidy of RS6 million for a kidney transplant and the participation of KP in the National Youth Games of Islamabad 2025.

In addition, rations worth RS1 billion were assigned for victims of earthquakes in Afghanistan.
