Aryna Sabalenka defeated Amanda Anisimova to win the US 2025 Open on Saturday night.
The number 1 tennis player in the world won the game 6-3, 7-6 (3) in Flushing Meadows in the Queens district of New York City. He remained in preparation throughout the game and was not going to let anisimova be a discomfort as he did at the All-England club a few months ago.

Even when Anisimova began to warm up, Sabalenka locked himself up and let the American opponent make mistakes. She capitalized with some ingenious shots throughout the game.
Anisimova fell early on the first set, but he could put his feet under her and make some incredible shots to tie the first set in two each. But the united errors would pursue it again.
The native of New Jersey saw the set slide away from it. Sabalenka got and could take off the first set.
Anisimova won the first game in the second set after coming and going with Sabalenka. The Belarusian would lock again. She countered a slice of Anisimova with an excellent drop in and fought to win the third game of the second set. Anisimova was able to recover the set to three games even with powerful shots that Sabalenka could not reach.

Sabalenka was overwhelming for anisimova. He was hitting his shoes on his shoes and leaving them in corners of the court that Anisimova simply could not arrive.
But Anisimova achieved an impressive return. She capitalized some of Sabalenka’s mistakes and even rose 6-5 in the second set. Sabalenka then showed why he is still the best player in the sport.
It was the first title of Grand Slam of Sabalenka of 2025. He fell short in the French Open final this year and was expelled in the Australian Open final by Madison Keys. Anisimova surprised her in Wimbledon, but lost to IgA Swiatek in straight sets.
He now has four Grand Slam titles in his career. Last year, he defeated Jessica Pegula to win the US Open.

Anisimova had an incredible year, making two Grand Slam finals. He is about to make a great leap during the 2026 season.
