LAHORE:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed a deep sadness on Sunday for the loss of lives in a rescue ship tragedy in Jalpur Pirwala and addressed the interested authorities to make help efforts in the areas affected by floods more effective.
He stressed that timely and integral assistance for all displaced persons must be guaranteed.
He also instructed that coordination and cooperation with provincial governments are further strengthened to improve rescue and relief operations.
Highlighting the widest challenge, the prime minister said that Pakistan continued to suffer the harmful effects of climate change.
