Kazakh FM arrives today


Islamabad:

VicePrimer Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu will make an official visit to Pakistan from September 8 to 9, the Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

The visit occurs as the precursor of the next state visit of Kazakh’s president to Pakistan in November 2025, which is expected to deepen bilateral ties even more.

According to FO, Mr. Nurtleu will be accompanied by a delegation of 13 high -level members, including Kazakhstan transport minister.

The meetings of the joint work groups on agriculture and information technology will also be held outside the trip.

During his stay in Islamabad, the vice president of Kazakh and the Foreign Minister will hold an individual meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, Senator Ishaq Dar, followed by conversations at the delegation level.

He is also scheduled to call the president and Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The discussions will focus on the preparations for the November presidential visit and will cover the complete spectrum of bilateral cooperation, with emphasis on trade and investment, agriculture, education, cultural and tourist exchanges, regional connectivity, logistics and collaboration in multilateral forums.

Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoy long -standing relationships rooted in history, culture and religion, with both countries part of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (IIC) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Islamabad sees Central Asia as a crucial partner for its improved regional connectivity vision, particularly under the China-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC), which could provide access to Kazakhstan coast to the ports in the Arabic sea.

In recent years, both parties have been working to boost trade and exchanges of people to people. Current commercial volumes remain modest, but officials believe that there is a significant without exploiting potential, particularly in agricultural connectivity, energy and transit.

The participation of the Minister of Transportation of Kazakhstan in the delegation indicates an approach to the advance of logistics and connectivity initiatives.

Trust said the visit “will further consolidate the long data of Pakistan-Kazakhstan and contribute to deepen bilateral commitments in various fields, for the benefit of the people of the two countries.”
