Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has given everything to portray the legendary struggles of UFC Mark Kerr in The crushing machine.
Dwayne has been “waiting” for such a challenging role in his entire career as an actor.
In the film, Kerr’s professional and personal struggles are represented, giving the Jumanji Strata the perfect role to show your skill of acting.
“I have been waiting for this opportunity to challenge me so that I would not have been challenged before, so that it really opened me as an actor,” Johnson told Weekly entertainment.
“With what I could connect in Marcos is when you want something so bad and you will do anything to get it, but what you want so bad does not happen. That happened to me: I thought I was going to be a professional football player, go to the NFL,” he shared.
Otherwise, he reflected on how people find it difficult to empathize with someone with great physical stature, such as Kerr.
“At one time, he was the biggest and most dominant fighter in that time window on the planet,” Adam’s black star said. “Very rare for people to relate to that, but you can relate to a relationship full of love, that is painful, which is toxic, which is codependent, and then addiction, and fails, and is demolished, and only tries.”
