Acer introduced the Chromebook Plus Spin 514 in IFA 2025, his first Chromebook promoted by the MediaTak Kompanio Ultra 910 processor with an integrated neural processing unit.
The most prominent aspects of the new convertible laptop include the device characteristics, multiple visualization options and a lasting design.
“We are excited to present our first Chromebook with the mediatek Kompanio Ultra processor, unlocking a new level of capabilities with AI that optimizes multitasking, the creation of content and productivity in an Acer Chromebook,” said James Lin, general manager, notebooks, Acer Inc.
Enterprise plus
The 514 SPIN can be configured with LPDDR5X RAM up to 16 GB and 256 GB UFS storage. It has a 70Wh battery capable of up to 17 hours of use.
The 14 -inch touch screen comes on WQXGA+ 2880×1800 to 60Hz and 340 Nits or Wuxga 1920×1200 to 120Hz and 300 nits.
Both options include Gorilla Glass, protection against the dena footprint and an appearance ratio of 16:10.
The chassis compatible with Mil-Std 810H weighs 1.36 kg and measures 15.5 mm thick.
There are two USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB-A 3.2 GEN1 ports and a headphones connector. Admit Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The webcam is available in 5MP or 1080p, and comes with a blue glass lens, privacy shutter and lighting assisted by AI and noise reduction.
Together with the consumption edition, Acer also launched the Chromebook Enterprise Plus Spin 514.
This commercial laptop comes with the Chrome Enterprise update that unlocks centralized device management, the strongest security and simplified implementation, allowing companies to administer Chromebooks fleets, enforce IT policies and provide employees with safe remote access.
The Enterprise Plus model offers the same hardware as the standard edition, including the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 processor with a MC11 MC11 GPU ARMMORTALIS-G925.
The Chromebook Plus Spin 514 will be available in October from $ 699.99 in North America and € 699 in EMEA.
The Chromebook Enterprise Plus Spin 514 will be available in October in EMEA from € 879. There is no word about the US price.
