The EOC said that parents, civil administrations, the agencies of application of the law and health workers played a key role in the success of the campaign, and added that the polio teams and security personnel were the “heroes of the nation.”

On September 15, a monitoring campaign will begin in southern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Bajaur and Upper Dir, pointing to 1.6 million children, the center added.

The district authorities have warned that during the current rainy season, the densely populated areas remain with greater risk, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that there is no child without vaccinating.
