Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has urged the government to take practical steps for the liberation of occupied Kashmir, stressing that the party will support the people of Kashmir until their freedom is achieved.
In a statement issued by the Publications and Media Department of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem said that resolving the problems faced by the free regions of Kashmir is the responsibility of the ruling authorities. He highlighted that Jamaat-e-Islami has constantly fought for the resolution of problems in Azad Kashmir.
“Jamaat-e-Islami has always fought for the rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, and on the Kashmir issue, we have constantly raised awareness and will continue to do so,” Hafiz Naeem said.
Furthermore, he highlighted the need to empower the free regions of the state, making them the real base of the Kashmir freedom movement. “The free regions of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan must become powerful and capable as they are the real base of the Kashmir freedom movement,” he said.
Hafiz Naeem also urged the federal and provincial governments to refrain from interfering in the upcoming elections in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and called for a fair and transparent electoral process.
