When I first read the brief synopsis of Prime Video The brideI knew it was going to be a smoking watch. New at the Amazon streamer in September 2025, the series follows the link of a mother and son (frankly, too close) that is interrupted when his new girlfriend arrives at the scene.
Thanks to the dual perspectives of the thriller in each episode, we have absolutely no idea who is the true version of the truth. Daniel (Laurie Davidson) stays like Piggy in the middle of the disaster … but not before reaping the benefits of having an incredibly hot girlfriend in Cherry (Olivia Cooke).
But are they always benefits? There is no doubt that the new Amazon show is one of the most erotic of the year, but sometimes that becomes too close to comfort. As you will see in the next Trailer, Laura (Robin Wright) is really present in a particular sex scene, and that is something that was immediately felt “so bad” for Davidson and Cooke.

Spoil of The bride forward.
“This is the thing: I spent the first four days building a mother and son relationship with Robin,” explains Davidson. “She is directing me at the same time. And the next day, Robin is still leading, but we are shooting Liv and me in a very intimate scene.
“It is not the kind of things you want your mother in the room! I found it very strange, because it felt very, very bad. Obviously, it was an incredibly professional set, but it was like … huh. I don’t think you should be here.”
As expected, The brideIntimate scenes can be seen from the first moment, while Cherry and Daniel meet and quickly fall in love with the other. Without spoiling too much, Laura quickly becomes a presence of these ways, from possible imaginations to, well, an unfortunate moment.
Of course, this becomes even more strange by Wright also behind the camera. With the cast by praiseing his intrepid leader, he was having this dynamic which caused him to shoot the scenes much more fun than usual for Cooke.
“It is more expressed than usual,” he tells me. “Although I don’t remember having a day when he felt too much, and that was quite fun. We all got so well, we were such a united trio.
“None of these scenes felt too difficult to access or reach. I had never been directed by my partner actor before, and that chain of command becomes much shorter. Robin is even able to address myself through the way he is acting. I loved it. He did everything much more energetic and efficient.”
The six episodes of The bride It will be released in Prime Video on September 10.
