Charlie Kirk was shot and then died at an oratory event in Utah on Wednesday, which caused emotional reactions of prominent figures in sports.

Trump announced Kirk’s death at 4:40 pm et on Wednesday.

“The great, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the heart of young people in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by all, especially me, and now he is not with us. Trump wrote.

The video published in the event seemed to show Kirk filming while talking with the crowd from under a white emerging tent.

In a statement to Pak Gazette, Ellen Treanor, associate vice president of strategic communication management of the University of Utah Valley, said the shooting occurred around 12:20 pm local time.

On an alert of the entire campus, Utah Valley University He said: “A single shot was shot on the campus towards a visiting speaker. The police are now investigating.”

Kirk had been scheduled to appear at the University of Utah Valley on Wednesday as part of his American return tour, with another stop at Utah State University at the end of this month.
