Pacifier Season 2 has finally revealed how the Smith family obtained from the Quantum deployment chamber (QUC), and crushed a fan’s theory about its creation in the process.
The last episode of the HBO Max program, entitled ‘Need I Say Door’, confirms how the Smiths were put in possession of the multidimensional device. And, to tell the truth, it was not what I expected.
Complete spoilers follow immediately to Pacifier Season 2 Episode 4. Return now if you haven’t seen it yet.
‘Need I Say Door’ opens with an established scene 35 years in the past. In it, we see Auggie Smith, the emotionally manipulative patriarch of the family, which takes their children, Keith and Chris, in a hunting expedition through a forest.
Suddenly, Auggie sees something that moves through the dense foliage. Aligning the shot, triggers a single bullet that, according to the howl emitted the creature, seriously hurts it.
Displayed by the strange Yelp said that unidentified creatures make Auggie and their children pursue when injured in an open area. Tracking its prey, the trio is surprised to see a weary extraterrestrial bĂpedo of the insect eyes on the floor with its guts in sight.
Excessive by the difficult situation of the alien or Keith telling him not to kill him, Auggie ends with the creature with another shot that starts his body’s head before slapping Keith to tell him what to do.
Stopping something unusual in the distance, Chris alerts Auggie and Keith about what he has seen. As the couple is directed, Chris also notes a silver and curved object in the form of a briefcase that is next to the dead alien.
After picking it out, Chris regroups with his father and his older brother to see what they have found. Behold, it is a door, one standing in the middle of the forest, nothing less, al Quc. Cue the beginning of Pacifier The wonderful sequence of season 2 title when the flashback comes to an end.
Anyone who listens to the official Pacemaker podcast of DC Studios will know something about the QUC will be revealed in the last chapter of the DC Universe Television program (DCU). In the delivery of last week of Pacifier“The Podcast Companion, Gunn mocked, we would learn more in ‘Need I Say Door’.
Interestingly, during the fans segment of the podcast episode last week, a curious fan theorized that Superman’s archeemis and the general genius Lex Luthor had something to do with their creation. According to what he reveals ‘I need to say that the door’ reveals on the QUC, that is not the case.
Even so, the fact that the Smiths found an QUC portal and transferred it to their family home changes what we thought we knew about its construction.
In season 1, they led us to believe that Auggie created the QUC, so who really did it? Is the alien, or the species to which it belongs, responsible for doing so, or also obtained it from another place? And why was it said that the alien used it to travel to the DCU?
In addition, if Auggie is not the brain behind this gadget, did you acquire the pacifier helmets and its white dragon costume of another dimension, or did it really do them? And can the QUC portal move? It can be transferred to a new location if there is an adequate door and if the person who moves it knows the correct sequence to enter the briefcase mentioned above, an unlimited number of times or is there a characteristic of reuse time?
Will the season of the second season of Chapter one of DCU respond for all these consultations before the end? Who knows, but at least we have some Clarity about the QUC, even if it is as simple as the Smith acquired this multiverse technology.
