From time to time, I think that a difficult way of connections would be a good idea. I imagine that it is composed of 20 mosaics instead of 16, and 4 of them are not part of the game at all.
My reasoning is that the game in its current format can be completed by knowing only three of the groups. Having four additional chips would mean that you have to get all four. Let me know what you think.
I am saying this because with a little thought I could have obtained today’s purple group, but the way the game that I did not need works.
That said, not being the smartest players, it would probably mean that I fail more frequently. Even with the easy game today, I managed to make a mistake, and included the driver instead of the name for contact information.
NYT Connections responses yesterday (Thursday, September 11, game #823)
- Yellow: Imperfection ABOLLADOS, DING, MAR, SCRATCH
- Green: giant Colossus, gigantic, whale, whoopper
- Blue: rude things to do Point, snicker, look, whisper
- Purple: In a baseball field Base, box, mound, plate
What are NYT connections?
Nyt Connections is one of the several increasingly popular words games made by the New York Times. It challenges him to find groups of four elements that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple generally very difficult.
On the positive side, he technically does not need to solve the end, since he can answer it for an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you some space to breathe.
However, it is a bit more involved than something like Wordle, and there are many opportunities for the game to move you with tricks. For example, be careful with homophones and other words games that could disguise the answers.
It is playable for free through the Nyt Games site in desktop or mobile.
