Dallas: A horrible incident has sent shock waves throughout the community in East Dallas, Texas, after a 50 -year -old man was brutally murdered and decapitated by his co -worker in front of his wife and teenage son.

The horrible incident took early on the morning of September 10 at the Downtown Suites Motel located in Samuell Boulevard, where the victim, Chandra Nagamallaiah, had been working as a manager during the last three years.

According to Dallas Police, the dispute began when Nagamallaiah told his employee, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, not to use a broken washing machine. The argument quickly became a violent confrontation.

Suddenly, Cobos-Martínez took out a knife and repeatedly stabbed Nagamallaiah, forcing him to flee to the motel office while he was seriously injured. Nagamallaiah’s wife and the 18-year-old son, who was already inside the office, desperately tried to intervene, but Cobos-Martinez was unstoppable.

The suspect decapitated Nagamallaiah in front of his family, then kicked his head cut to the parking lot before placing it in a garbage container. The chilling scene was captured in the security cameras of the motel, which showed a trace of blood that extends from the room to the main office.

The immigration and customs control of the United States (ICE) described the “unthinkable” murder and admitted that Cobos-Martínez had been released from ICE custody in early 2025 under an order of supervision due to the lack of deportation flights available to Cuba.

ICE acknowledged that, in retrospect, releasing it had been a mistake and that it should not have been free.

The suspect, a Cuban citizen, has been arrested and accused of capital murder. He is currently being held in the Dallas County prison, and the detectives have obtained a search warrant to collect additional evidence of the crime scene.

Nagamallaiah, originally from the Indian state of Karnataka, was known as a working man, honest and family -oriented who deeply worried about his loved ones.

The Consulate General of India in Houston expressed a deep sadness for the incident, declaring:

“We are in continuous contact with the family family and providing all possible assistance. The defendant is in Dallas police custody, and we are closely monitoring the case.”

The shocking murder has left the Indian community not only but also other groups of Asian immigrants in deep pain and anger.

On the X Social Network Platform (previously Twitter), many users expressed their outrage at the lack of the media coverage and expressed serious concerns about the safety of immigrant workers and the growing incidents of anti-asian violence.
