Peshawar:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, presented a request for writing in the Superior Court of Peshawar (PHC) challenging the blockade of his passport and the inclusion of his name on the output control list (ECL) and other surveillance lists.
The petition, presented through lawyer Bashir Wazir, appoints the Ministry of Interior, general director of the FIA, general director of Passports and Immigration, and others as respondents.
He argues that the Prime Minister, as executive director of the province, often needs to travel abroad for official and administrative matters. However, his name was supposedly illegallylighted, his blocked passport and his name was placed in the ECL and other lists, restricting his movement.
According to the petition, Gandapur requested the renewal of his passport, but the authorities refused to process it. His lawyer said that no prior notice was issued before placing his name on the lists, which is equivalent to discriminatory treatment and violates constitutional rights.
The request asks the court to order the authorities to eliminate their name from the ECL, the provisional control list and the national control list, restore their passport and allow you to travel abroad to obtain official tasks. The legal team of the main minister has also sought an early hearing of the case.
