Rawalpindi:
The head of the Army staff (COAS) field mask, also has emphasized the importance of good governance and closest civil-military coordination to combat flood challenges and support the affected communities, said the wing of military media on Saturday.
According to Public Relations between Services (ISPR), the Army Chief visited areas affected by floods in the Kasur sector and the flood help camp in Jalalpur Pirwala, fine, to review the situation and evaluate ongoing rescue operations.

The visit focused on “improving the synergy between civil administration and the military to ensure effective assistance for the affected population,” the ISPR said. The main secretary of Punjab and other senior civil officials were also present.
During the visit, Munir received detailed information about the situation of the land, including rescue and relief operations. By interacting with civil administration officials, he stressed the importance of “good governance and inclusive progress centered on people.”
He said that all necessary measures, including infrastructure development, should be accelerated to protect people from recurring flood damage. “The State cannot afford the loss of lives and precious properties every year,” he said.

Munir also reaffirmed the “unwavering commitment of the Pakistan’s army to support all the initiatives aimed at public welfare,” emphasizing that the coordinated civil efforts were crucial to face the challenges faced by the communities affected by the floods, the ISPR added.
During his interaction with the evacuees, the Army Chief assured them continuous support for resettlement and rehabilitation. The displaced residents expressed their gratitude to the army for what they described as timely assistance for a critical time.
The ISPR also declared that the head of the Army also met with troops, rescued 1122 workers and police personnel who participated in help operations. He praised his morals, operational preparation and “24 -hour efforts, carried out in close coordination with the Civil Administration, to provide appropriate relief and assistance to people.”
