Rawalpindi:
The Judge of the District and the Abid Rizwan Abid sessions on Saturday admitted the charges in the case of the murder of Sidra Bibi, 17, for an audience.
Sidra Bibi was supposedly killed in the name of ‘Honor’ in the Pirwadhai area to marry again, after his divorce of the first husband.
The Court issued notices to nine accused currently in custody, ordering the prison authorities to produce them on September 15. The judge also ordered the arrest and production of 18 suspects of escalation, including the victim’s mother, two sisters, sisters -in -law and mother -in -law.

The senior leader of PML-N, Ismatullah Khan, supposedly the head of the Jirga, who is said to sanction the murder, has also been accused in the case.
Regular procedures in the case are scheduled to start on September 15. It is anticipated that this case of high profile murder could be transferred to a model court for an expedited trial.
This is the first case of homicide in which almost all the immediate and extended relatives of the victim, as well as the neighbors, have been appointed as accused. The defendants include the mother, the father, the brother, the sisters, the sister -in -law, the father -in -law, the uncle, the maternal aunt and the paternal aunt.
